Saturday, June 2nd and 16th – Ride Sally Ride!

“Ride Sally Ride” is an adult women’s basic bike class and introduction to street bike riding.

The first class was held in Medford on June 2nd. It was a great class, and even lifelong riders learned a trick or two! The second class was held at Reinhart Volunteer Park in Grants Pass on June 16th. The class was limited to the first 10 women to sign up for each location. The suggested donation was $10, proceeds will benefit the Bear Creek Greenway Foundation in their efforts to extend the trail from Pine Street through the Expo.

Attendees of the Medford class learn how to fix a flat tire.

A bike in good operating condition and helmet are required for participation. The class will include how to change a flat tire, conduct a basic safety inspection, safely get on/off a bike, signal and ride safely while sharing the road. A short practice ride will be included as part of the class.

Partners include Providence, Jackson County, the Bear Creek Greenway Foundation, and the City of Grants Pass.
